CHRIS DAIR

A SECOND ALBUM BY GUITARIST CHRIS DAIR IS NOW AVAILABLE ON iTUNES AND OTHER ONLINE STORES WORLDWIDE

STRANGE ISLAND
This is a rare concept album for the guitar connoisseur, or people that just love great guitar.

"....there's quite a story behind this album...a friend of mine, who's a radio presenter had arranged to record an interview with Rufus Thomas in the UK (a great American jazz artist) and he asked me to go along....playing that night also was Mike McCartney, and with them a guy called Freddie Cousaert - Freddie was a promoter for Marvin Gaye and manager of great soul music artists like Bobby Womac. . Freddie showed a great interest in my guitar work and later we discussed producing an album and he said had already been talking to Polydor.
I have always played and recorded in many different styles of music and I asked Freddie what style of album I should put together? Blues? Jazz? Rock? He told me I should just do my thing, in other words compose in any style I chose for the same album. Gordon Giltrap did it! Sadly Freddie died before the album was finished, and this is it STRANGE ISLAND - a journey for the listener through lands of the imagination, no limits. A fitting follow up to What Chains? Free guitar..."
